Did the higher truck bed affect the level of the trailer when hooking up. I bought a 2016 Ford dually because the 2017 dually bed sat about 4 inches higher than the '16.

I rented one a month ago and it had no side bars to get in the cab.
Even being a long legged 6 footer, I had to jump up every time to get in. I can't imagine the hard time someone shorter would have. I could not just reach over the side of the bed to grab anything either.
