2017 GMC/Chevy DEF tank!

I'm not sure how you defend that design. Running boards do not fix it.

That's an awful design.

When I was shopping I really liked the interior of the 2016 Denali, but that tank hanging low was one big concern. However it wasn't the only reason I bought another ford, availability of a dually in new England was very low on the GMC lots.

If DEF were flammable, the design would have never made the cut or would have already been recalled. The likely hood of it being damaged aside, it just looks stupid hanging down like that.

I saw a 2017 on the highway over the weekend and that was the first thing I noticed. When I got home I had to look one up to find out what the hell that was.

Well there wouldn't be any warranty claims as GM or any manufacture for that matter does not cover damage from an accident or going off road! Sorry this is just plain dumb! The up side is the aftermarket manufactures are all ready making skid plates for it! Probably a GM managment employee to boot lol. :W

Even with step bars you are not going off road in a GM/Chevy Duramax! Come on you have to admit this is not one of GM's proudest designs! Kinda like the gas tanks on the 1970's C/K trucks.
