Towing just got easier
Fish, towing should already be easy for you, the TT at 11,000# GVWR, would hardly make my 2001 Ram break a sweat (going uphill)!
What will be entertaining in the next couple years is who with be the first to claim 500/1,000!!!
"Easy" is a relative term... A 386 Intel processor was powerful at one time too. :W- john_betExplorer IIMy ole Dodge/Ram with 325hp and 600 tq. when new, towing combined 20K, will still out pull a semi, loaded or empty, with 2 to 3 times the tq and 200 more hp at a stop light and up a hill. So guess I am good to go.
- jerem0621Explorer IINo WD hitch required??

Take a look at other thread on PS numbers - downtheroadExplorerLet's talk payload...
- goducks10ExplorerIt really comes down to how the truck handles and how comfortable it is. Doesn't really matter how fast it is or how much it can tow. Real world towing is doing 55-60mp following everyone else. Even if it had 600hp/1500tq it wouldn't get there any faster when you're inline with the rest of the drivers going to the same place. I'm not sure how much easier a truck needs to tow anyway. I've never heard anyone complain that they have a hard time towing with any of the new diesels.
- downtheroadExplorerImpressive numbers....but, problem is that it's a Ford....
(trolling). - boshogExplorerI can hear the guys complaining about the torque management already, with more torque comes more management, got to protect the driveline.
- DakotaDadExplorerI thought they'd push the envelope a little more on the hp/torque front. But they did enough to take the crown for 2017. I'm guessing they're holding back a bit to play the one-upsmanship game.
The three inch receiver seems like a great idea, and they've dramatically improved the interior over the previous gen. Looks like a nice leap forward for the Superduty. - transamz9Explorer

No, what's going to be entertaining is all these blue bleeders getting new trucks that think everything is about HP are going to be going WOW when they gain 65 lbft of torque and no more HP and can't believe how much better the new truck handles the weight. If Ford puts the extra torque in the right place it will feel like a 100 more HP. :B
