Congrats on the new Silverado!! It looks like you have things figured out. As to weight distribution, yes you will need it for max tongue wt. Without it you would likely have about 1/2 that capability. The numbers should be on hitch label with/without. You would have no problem with a 11,600 lb GW FW, maybe even a little more.
