2018 Chevy 3500HD
Considering picking up a used 2018 Duramax/Alison, DRW, Long bed. I have never driven one, looking for comments on those who have/had one of comparable year. Supposedly they came out with a new/better motor for this year?

- I would recommend checking for oil leaks on the bottom side of engine. It is a better engine in that Chevy no longer uses the Bosch CP4.2 pump.
- Mine's 5 years older. Over 90,000 miles. Pulls my toy hauler with ease. Been all over the US with it, no breakdowns. I don't know about the 2018 motor being better than my mine.
- You will enjoy it. The L5P came out in '17 I believe. Just updates from previous engine, same basic platform. Biggest change is Denso IP vs Bosch CP 4.2, which gets a bad rap.
