Put me firmly in the soccer dad category. That tailgate would be awesomely useful for those weekend trips to the big box stores. Much less work to secure a dozen 2x6s in the rain or snow. And being a month into my new bionic knee, those steps look very usable. My working man mode is firmly in the rear view mirror.
