That's truth. I was on the phone asking Randle about my 2k geni fitting in the outside storage area where the onan would go. He walked over to someone else and they said it will work with minor modifications. He immediately added it to my build sheet, done. Took like 90 seconds.
This makes sense. The area above the genset compartment is more than generous for the utilities that are provided for water, power, dumping valve cable, 120v shore power cable, jacks cable switch. It's a bunch of stuff but that lid could easily be raised. When fitting it for my own use I considered reworking it myself to increase space. It's awesome that Host is so flexible!
I agree it’s awesome that they’ll work with you like that, but I have to ask why they don’t design the compartment to hold a portable generator in the first place? Seems like a no-brainer especially if it’s a minor mod.
