- Cummins12V98Explorer IIIAmazing to me is the rear parking brake can hold 40k on a 15% up or down grade.
- 4x4ordExplorer IIIThe Davis Dam test would be difficult to pass. I can guarantee that our class 8 Peterbilt would not come close to climbing a 7% grade at 35mph with even a light load in tow. The truck is designed to tow up to 140,000 lbs GCW. We haul a little over 100,000 lbs with it. With a gross combined weight of 100,000 lbs our Pete will climb a 7% grade at about 20 mph and at 100 degrees on the Davis Dam hill the engine temperature light would come on and the engine would derate slowing the truck down further.
- southernskyExplorerGood video, all I know is my 2019 Ram pulls and stops my 16000 lbs. fifthwheel like a beast.
