X2 but I heard Ford is using it in their 2017MY - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIF250/350 no, F450 yes.
ALL RAM trucks follow it.
GM not sure. - jerem0621Explorer IIAll Toyotas do.
- jus2shyExplorerIn 2017, All Ford trucks should be following the standard
I think all Full-sized GM, RAM and Toyota trucks currently follow the standards as well. I'm not sure about the Colorado or Tacoma trucks.
I'm also unsure about the Nissan Titan at this point in time. - HuntindogExplorer

GM has been there "unofficially" on their HDs for a few years. GM and Ford had agreed that they would both do it one year. (IIRC, 2012 or 2013) GM released their figures which were actually a little higher than what they had been advertising for most of the HDs, but lower for the 1/2 tons.

Ford reneged, and GM quickly withdrew the figures.
It was posted on this forum for a short time back then. GM did not want to take a sales hit on the 1/2 tons, goiung up against Fords fake numbers.
So they used their own fake numbers.

So Ford has been getting away with fake towing and payload numbers all along?
Now I understand the term Ford Fairy Dust - they sprinkle it on their trucks when they need a better rating. - APTExplorerKeep in mind that even the J2807 spec does not really help RVers. It is primarily performance/acceleration/braking metrics and does not take into account TV payload with respect to the TV loaded up with family and bed/cargo areas full of camping gear.

Acceleration and braking are important to me - and yes I RV a lot. - IdaDExplorer

And they remove unessential stuff like center consoles and bumpers, just like most owners do in the real world.
