Have been doing some research on new Chevy 2500HD gas trucks and have noticed the rear end ratio seems be 3.73 now, not 4.10, in most dealer inventory. I think I would still like the 4.10 unless there...

I'm pretty sure the 6L80 is cheaper than the new Allison 10 speed hence the reason it's still available. And perhaps GM doesn't have production capacity for the Allison to be in every truck.
No I did not say anything about the Allison. Since when did GM ever offer the Allison in the HD's with the 6.0? I think it was once available with the 8.1 @ 2006. It's not even offered with the 6.6. No conspiracy whatsoever.
