It really concerned me when I first discovered that my truck was applying the brakes. Now that I understand the system I'm kind of impressed with how well it works. When I don't like it is when towing with cruise on and I come to a little coulee. It used to be the truck would gain a little speed going down and I would manually start feeding it a little coal while starting up the other side. When the truck slowed to the speed limit I would take my foot off the accelerator and let cruise take over. Now I start going down a hill and I have to either let the truck brake, hit cancel cruise, or step on the accelerator going down.
