True, and I was glad to see the guys at TFLTruck question the results of 40MPG and plan to repeat the test. I do like the fact that they attempt to maintain consistency in how they drive and load the trucks and how they fill the tanks. The idea of filling until the nozzle clicks, wait 30 seconds for foam to dissipate, then fill again until another click is pretty consistent. Is it perfect?....No, but at least they're trying to eliminate variables.
I wonder how empty the tank was before the first fill up? If they had to add quite a bit and it was from underground tanks it’s possible that it expanded some when running the first test and therefore took less on the second pass. Letting the truck sit mostly full before repeating would help remove that factor.
