2023 Ford 40k towing, 500hp, 1200tq

In 1992 I ran a Western Star with a Cummins Big Cam 400. I believe that engine was a 14 litre which made 400 HP at 2100 rpm and I think it made peak torque of 1150 lbft at 1200 rpm. I thought that was big power. The combined loaded truck and trailer weight was 87000 lbs.

With helium in the tires….and to think someone was cautioning against adding 100lbs dead load to the back of a HD truck here in another thread!

^^^ I don’t think you can. 8k payload is probably a 2wd F350 dually single cab XL model with the 6.8 litre gas engine.

Someone please explain how you can get 8k payload on a F450 when the GVWR is 14k???
