Looks like I'll just need to have some kind of rung or foot opening. because of the door to the bathroom I don't have the room to bring anything out to create a stair step. Oh well, it was a good idea.:R
I think I came up with a pretty good idea yesterday that I had to draw up to see how it would look. Shoes always seem to be a problem, they end up getting spread all over the place! I was thinking about how I would use the shallow cabinet next to the dinette (it's shallow to allow someone to slide into the dinette) and I thought some cubbies for shoes would be a perfect use for some of that space. The bottom is completely open for bigger things like boots and the six cubbies above are enough for at least one pair of shoes each. I also plan on having the load center in there along with any other switches or fuses that might be necessary.
I also had the (hopefully) bright idea to put a shelf under each sink that has a 1/2" high lip that runs all the way around it. The idea being if there was to be a leak that it would contain the water.
