Wilber,
I know of a couple of BIG rig drivers that were legal i' B.C., but over weight her in the states.
Real answer to weight issues, know and understand the laws, not what someone posts on t.v..net or elsewhere like it.
I can pull up laws in Washington state. Have not looked up laws in BC, but would swag similar via nafta, be it one likes that agreement or not.
I'm not too worried about running around lower 48 US states I've manufactures ratings. It is done by hotshot drivers daily, along with many of us doing construction work. If it was a real issue, we would hear about it.
There was one otr driver that had a company CC to pay individual states overweight fees, as those fees were cheaper to pay, vs additional payload cost, that the ticket was paid. An overweight ticket down here is NOT a moving violation, so it does not go on a drivers record.
Am I truly worried about being over a few lbs, not! He k, here in Washington, our trucks minimum license fee is NOT based on manufactures limits. It is tare/empty weight times 1.5 to the next higher ton. So like Chris aka me again with a forgetful of his, a dodge 2500 with an 8800 door sticker. 7200 empty times 1.5 = 10,800, his license was 12,000 lbs, and he was legal in the lower 48 states to 12,000 lbs! Just as my international was good to the 26k I was paid too.
