Well stated, after all this money is spent you will still be overloaded and if you have an accident and some one get injured a good lawyer is going to have a field day with you in court. Think about it.
Thank you for the compliment, but that wasn't my point.
We get tons of finger-wagging on this forum about how illegal being overweight is, how unsafe it is, how we will be sued into oblivion if something bad happens.
Problem is, NOBODY CARES. People don't think it will ever happen to them. You're a "worry wart" or "weight police" or whatever for daring to even mention it.
The fact of the matter is even if you go out of your way to be a hazard to yourself and everyone else on the road, you probably won't have a lick of trouble getting from point A to point B. Even if you get in an accident, it's rare that it's any worse than a fender bender. Sure you see news of fatal accidents all the time, but for every one of those there are hundreds to thousands of accidents where everyone walks away, and millions of vehicles that get home safely.
What is 100% sure to affect the owner? Cost and comfort. Those are the "death and taxes" of RV ownership.
