Oh come on Andy you know I was joking with you. Being called a stooge isn't the worst thing to be called. That show was just down right funny. Now that I know your skin is so thin I'll refrain from directing any further comments at you, or what you perceive my thoughts were. I'm pretty certain there is more that 3 GM experts on this site.
It just seems to me anyhow that a true GM person would know of "known issues" and speak up about them. That's what I try to do about Dodge's know issues that I know about. I'll take your word for it, if you didn't know or hear about the problem, fine. I apologize if I hurt your feelings, but you know who I was really speaking to.

I'll let Ric speak for himself. Since I am known as one of the GM guys, and I just happened to start a thread in the time frame he referenced I'll assume his comments were directed at me.

I think, and don't quote me, recalls are only issued when it concerns safety. A TSB is for a problem that may occur. While not right the TSB, unless covered for some reason by the company, is covered by the consumer.

Maybe GM should have stepped up had issued a recall for the poor design back when they issued the TSB back in 2008, do you think? I wouldn't buy the truck unless it was repaired. If it's such a cheep an easy fix why not have them repair it before you buy it OP.

All trucks/cars have inherited problems...some worse then others. Anyway, it's a simple fix, because the body mounts deteriorate over time, causing the bounce. Never heard of a new one with the issue.

Still scratching my head on this one.

Why buy a truck that has a known problem?

My world doesn't revolve around constantly proving to myself and others that my decision to buy the greatest truck brand in the world proves my superior intellect. It defiately doesn't rise to the level of feigning personal insults at people who don't buy my brand.

100.00 online pricing for parts or there abouts. Pretty simple fix if your mechanically inclined from what I read. Later in the fall I will fix mine. My wife hates the bounce, she said it has got worse over the years. Google it online, there are a lot of GM owners that have had the issue. I placed a large old TV from my father in laws home in the back of the truck to take to the dump. That extra wieght helped reduce the bounce considerably and confirmed the issue. All Chevy does is dump a lot of wieght in the back to confirm the problem as well. Funny that some trucks have it and others don't. Like I said earlier, I drove an 03 Dmax and it had it really bad.
