- CapriRacerExplorer IIThere's an easy way to sort this ought: Do the Math.
Calculate what pressure is required to carry the GAWR for the size listed on your truck.
If you do that, then you will find that vehicle tire placard will have enough load carrying capacity for the rated GAWR - even if the max pressure of the tire is more. - IdaDExplorer60 all around once the camper is parked for the year. Then I bump the rears back up to 80ish when it's time to get it out again in the spring. 80 is too high unloaded but I don't enjoy deflating and reinflating my tires over and over.

I have a clip on air chuck. Without it on an air hose it makes a great way to deflate tires. I can tell by the sound of the air escaping when it is getting to around 44 pounds(Rears empty). Chris - Me_AgainExplorer IIIOffroad jeeper's have de-flators that are adjustable. However they are not settable to higher pressure ranges. Chris

Fish, what tires are you running?
I've got the OEM Firestone H/Ts and I'll be lucky to get 27K out of them. I'm a little over 26K now and they're close to being worn out. Need to try something that will last next time. Ron3rd wrote:
