I have some lumber across the front of the truck bed, to keep the bumpers off the angled portion of the truck bed.
I've seen similar trucks get the front bed wall all bent to heck because the camper shifted.
My ruck is nearly 10 years old and if you look at the front bed wall, you would never know the truck has hauled a camper 90% of it's life. The lumber has saved the bed from getting banged up across the front.
