I know that the current standard is technically ACEA C3 5w-30 or something like that which is almost like finding unicorn tears in the US. All oils meeting this spec were at minimum $8.00 per quart, or worse. This would actually make things cheaper for Ecodiesel owners. Get 2 gallons and 2 quarts and now your oil costs only 50 bucks instead of 80 to 120 bucks for ACEA C3 meeting 5w-30.

NAPA and Auto Zone both have it around here, but at a price of 9.35 and 8.99. I can get the Penn for 6.85 at the dealer with my discount. Filters are the thing that is hard to find. There are NO oil filter that meet the factory specs as of three months ago. There are filters out there but both companies have yet provided an data the there filter has been tested and meets the factory spec.
