3 1/2 season Travel Trailer

We want to buy a new 3 1/2 season TT for my wife and I and the occasional 2 guests.

We also will be traveling 4 to 5 months rather than parking up.

We have enough truck to pull most trailers.

We live in Florida so will not consider an Artic Fox due to lack of dealers within any reasonable distance.

At this time a Jayco Eagle is high on our shopping list because of its climate and suspension systems which come as standard.

Any other brands we should consider? I've looked around a few but it seems that most trailers these days tend towards the light weight end of the market. I used to own a Sunline and then a Mountaineer so have traveled in TT's extensively but not for a few years since moving to a MH.
  • I recently saw a Jayco factory tour video on YouTube showing workers on the line asembling. My perspective was a bunch of guys running around building with speed as the main priority. No attention to detail or quality. It kinda shocked me. Wish I could link you but not that smart
  • We had the same requirements for a trailer we could use both in cold and really hot weather, so we chose Open Range Roamer. Here is a link to the "Construction" page on their website.
  • X2 on local service under warranty. Its not perfect, but they will authorize a local rv shop to do warranty work. We did this.
Being retired, we had the time to go to Oregon to purchase. that was key as we
had time to work the systems before leaving.
  • If you will be on the road 5 months of the year why do you care how close to home the dealer is? I bet more warranty issues happen when your using it then when it's parked at home. If you think you might like an Artic Fox at least go look at one.
  • Artic fox will honor the warranty outside of network...we did the Artic Fox Trailer for similar reasons in NY and it is tested to be livable in well below freezing....Just have a service tech come to the unit if you have a problem....

Take a look at the Heartland 5th wheel trailers.
