3,000HP Chevy S10 pickup tow vehicle !

Not really...it takes a couple hours, actually. (Prepping it to race takes four guys about an hour!)

He just set the world record a few hours ago with a 219+ mph run in 6.16 seconds after towing his parts trailer 1,000 miles this past week with his Chevy S10 !

Bet that thing handles like melted jello.

I bet it gets up to 200mph faster than your 07 Infiniti G35 takes to get up to 60mph.

Larry Larson also built Doug Cline's 1969 Camaro that was runner-up in the Ultimate Street vehicle class and is the first all-metal car to run a 6 second run on all days of Drag Week 2014.

Larsen's drag "S-10" is really not a street vehicle. Yes, it's tagged...but race prep is a very-involved procedure, taking half a dozen guys most of an hour. (Offhand: the ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM is replaced, as are the rear springs & shocks.) The truck was built specifically to showcase just how ridiculous the Unlimited cars have gotten.

I see Jeff Lutz also towed a trailer with his son in the other 1957 Chevy.

I have noticed that in the past few years there are modified vehicles that are putting out incredible HP/Torque and still streetable.

I think improved electronic engine management controls and ever developing engine design/technology, have a lot to do with it.

I know that the Chevy newer (introduced in '97 to replace the old Chevy small block V8) LS series V8, has gained favour among many hotrodders, for it's potential to develop big hp/torque, when modified.

Other manufacturers' newer engine designs, also have done well in increased power development.

We live in a golden era of power.

It's hard to believe how streetable these vehicles are. Quite the accomplishment really.

I am surprise with the mods needed to make it a 6 second truck, it is still street legal..
