- 8_1_VanExplorerI bet it's not loud when towing on the highway since 70mph in high gear is at a much lower RPM than at 244mph on the strip.
- Dave_H_MExplorer IIHmmmmmmmmmmm, I noticed that everyone was holding their ears when he was lining that "street legal" truck up.

Yeah,I think Camping World should sponsor him. - Turtle_n_PeepsExplorerI'm surprised that nobody on this site did not criticize Larry for going over payload or not using a WD or sway control for his support trailer. I wonder what type of brake controller he runs? :B
A sub 6 1/4 mile with a street car....er....street truck? Good god!! A few years back I would say that would not be possible. Wait a sec; a few years ago it wasn't!
Congrats Larry on your bad a$$ S10!
PS: Yo, Camping World are you listening? Sounds like a great "tow truck" to sponsor!! - 8_1_VanExplorerHe runs alcohol on the dragstrip and premium gas on the highway.
Larry Larson lost Drag Week last year to Jeff Lutz in his 3,000+ HP 57 Chevy who also tows trailers between drag strips since the rule during drag week is you can't use support vehicles.
6,000hp of Twin Turbo ’57 Chevys - THE EVIL TWINS - AJBertExplorerThere is NO WAY he's getting 3000hp from pump gas, unless gas stations are carrying pure alcohol these days!
My guess is the engine has been "detuned" quite a bit to run off pump gas or that is just a publicity shot. - 8_1_VanExplorerI guess he makes many gas stops.:B
- gboppExplorerAwesome! But what kind of MPG does it get while towing? :B
