3/4 ton truck gas mileage - what is normal?
I have a 99 Ram 2500 V10, it gets 12 maybe 13 mpg tops, while not towing. I have a 7700lb trailer I tow with it. I am looking to update my truck... I am aware that I am at the upper limit of most 1/...

You make me want to go diesel... but I've never had one and don't know much about them.
I have been looking at them but they all have more miles than my truck has... I've heard diesels go more miles than gassers... right?
In the fall of 2013 I ran across an older couple who delivered new travel trailers. While he went off to do paperwork I asked her about their white Dodge 3500 dually, she told me it was a 2003, that they had put over a million miles on the truck so far, and that the original engine had not been rebuilt.
If my math is correct, that's at least a half a million towing miles.
