You guys got me curious here, so I used a 2015 Ram SRW just to look.
All load range E tires. All figures from the Tire Rack site.
LT 275/70R18's were 33.2 inches in diameter.
LT275/65R20's were 34.1 inches in diameter.
Both BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires.
Not an appreciable difference.
Onto the original topic at hand. You get some Darwin Award candidates skidding a truck sideways in a turn at speed, and they hit anything, such as a curb, it is gonna roll.
Mind you, the tire diameter's shown by my research indicates to me that 18 inch or 20 inch tires would make little, if any, difference here.
