My Outback is 35 and 1/2 feet long. My dually is 22 feet long. Ad another 6 inches for the actual hitch length and I'm at 58 feet overall length. My last 2 trailers and my last 3 trucks were all dually's. Towing is stable, never an issue, never experienced sway (I do have WD and always had sway control too). It absolutely great for towing and would not want to tow with anything less than a 1 ton dually.
As a daily driver ... yea ... it has it's challenges. Bank ATM machines drive throughs are always too narrow. Can't go through automated car washes. Sometimes fast food restaurant drive throughs are a bit challenging, if not impossible. Parking in some really "tight" parking lots is just about impossible, and NEVER can park in a parking garage ... especially at airports! If you don't mind making some minor adjustments in your life to accommodate parking spots, there's nothing sweeter than driving a diesel one-ton dully!
And the new trucks one the market these days are absolutely awesome!
