I don't know if you tow or plan to tow in Florida. On the road 2 wheel drive is great. However in Florida if you get off the road, u better leave one tire on the road, if not u will be stuck if sugar sand is present. If you like to drive on the beach here...u better have 4 wheel drive, especially since u have a heavy truck even with gas and heavy high psi tires. U can lower the tire pressure it will help, but again a 4 wheel drive is the best way. In fact most beaches now especially in St Augustine will only allow access with a 4 wheel drive. There is a spot u can go on with 2 wheel drive but it's a packed section. I have owned both, and honestly I like having the 4 wheel drive, cause even in my back yard where I park I can get stuck in 2 wheel drive. Funny I live in a nice neighborhood, on 1/2 acre, and have grass, but there is sugar sand where the truck gets parked and it will get stuck right there... I know funny and weird but it's famous Florida sugar sand. So personally its up to you, resale here in Florida is much higher on a 4x4 if you ever need to sell even though u don't plan to. My buddy around the corner from me has a 3500 dodge diesel that he pulls his fifth wheel with. He parks the camper behind the house in the grass on a incline. If it's wet, he cant move it without slipping. He had a 4x4 Ford F-250 prior and had no issues cause it was a 4x4. His 2 wheel dually not so easy...
