Need more info.
What vehicle?
How heavy is trailer?
High wall TT with lots of drag?
What speed are you having trouble with it staying unlocked?
Do you have a K&N type oiled aid filter*?
Let's assume there is nothing wrong with the trans and torque converter......
The computer controls the trans and TC lockup. It won't lockup until you get to a certain speed/load as dictated by the computers tune file.
There are many factors and sensors that play into the trans shift strategy. It will unlock or lock depending on speed, rpm, perceived load*, throttle position, etc.
*The MAF (mass air flow) sensor is a major player in reporting load. If oil film from a K&N air filter gets on the sense wire it can cause problems for the trans pressure.
Also the brake pedal switch will unlock the TC. Is it bad, are you a two foot driver that rests his foot on the brake pedal?
