4l60 torque converter won't stay locked
What is the best way to make these transmissions stay locked up in 3rd? I am having trouble keeping the converter locked with the trailer behind at highway speeds, which results in higher trans temps ...

Ok that changes things, lol.
Check into the throttle valve cable adjustment procedure for that truck and see if that helps.
Other than that or TCC solenoid flaking out, you are only making about 190 hp at the crank with that TBI motor.....I had a 93, it was weak.....had to mod it and eventually get a bigger TV.
