Interesting info for me about backing up a 4l80E since that's what's in my rig. And where I'm parking right now it's a definite uphill grade on gravel in reverse.
If it's a truck you intend to keep maybe think about having a good local shop rebuild your tranny with heavy duty parts. More expensive up front but way better in the long run.
