So you want AWD becuase conditions might change and you may not recognize the need to put the vehicle into 4WD? If conditions warrant it, flipping the switch at most any speed into 4WD for any of today's trucks is easy to accomplish. Honestly though, my tow experience in 4WD is limited to slippery/hilly situations for parking or retrieving the trailer from the campsite. If it wasn't for my work, I would not have a 4x4 truck for towing.
