I can't imagine needing a winch to get my hitch in and out of my truck. One of the reasons I prefer the Reese. We occasionally take the hitch out to use the truck bed for other purposes while we're out on vacation.
Why not. The Harbor Freight hoist cost 85 bucks or something like that. Garage has 9' ceiling, so I can use the load the yard waste container which my DW tends to load heavy also.
Works well for me! Chris
Are you trying to say the garage is supposed to be clean enough to pull the truck into???:)
Seriously, it's nice to be able to easily pull the hitch while at your campsite sometimes, and being someone who got the truck to use as a truck as well as tow vehicle, it's nice at home too. That's a big reason I like the Andersen hitch. It's as easy if not easier to pull and install when it comes to wear and tear on my back than the equalizer hitch I had on the last TT was.
Just pull the four pins and raise the legs and drive away with a clean bed. Hitch remains on the king pin, locked of course.
