5th wheel hitches for Ram with prep group

Whats everyone using for a 5th wheel hitch for the new Ram with the prep group and puck system.
The BW3600 looks good but I believe its rated for 24k lbs, more than I need. And over 200 lbs to move around.
Anything in the 15-18k lb range that drop into the pucks?
This is for a long bed so no need for a slider.
I'm stretching my truck 22" on Wed. with a 16 LB.

  • I bought the picture frame adapter and used my TrailerSaver BD3. Pain in the tail to get it all set correctly but now it tows great. Took several hours of adjusting, installing, removing, adjusting, installing repeat, repeat, repeat that along with having to remove the "retainers" on the hitch to get the rail pins in. My previous adapter frame for the Ford was perfect. Drop in, set hitch in and slide the pins in. The Mopar branded one (rebranded Reese I believe) was a pain.
  • So when they do the stretch, do the pucks move back also. The B&W RVK3600 is your best bet for a quality hitch. The head easily separates from the base. Curt has a chinese hitch, but the B&W is a better investment. Chris
  • Check and see if Pullrite and/or B/W make prep hitches. They have ones for the Ford prep so they probably have them for Dodge too.
