We have a 30' TT and I tow a 35' Gooseneck trailer for the HS band. Yes the FW may be a but shorter overall when connected and the height inside is nice. But I like not having steps inside the trailer and unless you get a high profile FW the ceiling height in the front room is reduced. (Which may not be a problem).
On the FW side I do like the generally bigger water tanks and storage.
On the TT side I find that I am able to back into tighter spaces with the TT. When driving the Gooseneck I feel like I have to really swing the truck to get the trailer to start to move where I want it. I see this on spots that I have to enter at 90 degrees.
I have not noticed much difference in ride quality between the two. A well set up TT rides just as nice.
