I guess it is all about defining requirements. Some people may not need the power of the diesel...nor wanting to worry about some of the worries that come with a modern Diesel engine.
Not everyone needs or wants a diesel. Many individuals are satisfied with the lower upfront cost and getting the job done with a capable TV that has just enough power for towing - especially when they tow 2-3K/year.
The great thing about the Big 3 is they all provide options for the consumers....in gas or diesel TVs.
