I can tell you, the mileage on my 6.4 gasser is TERRIBLE. Do I care? Not really. For my RVing isn't about pinching pennies.
The mileage is so bad, I don't drive it around town much.
Unloaded I get about 7 city miles (lots of very short trips with lots of stopping along the way) and 15 highway (1+ hr operating at high speed)
Towing I get 9 to 10 highway
The ride is great, I really enjoy the 2500 over the ram 1500 I traded in. it's quieter on the inside, handles more gear with ease and I don't notice grades at all really, going up or down. But I have a tiny trailer compared to what a lot of folks with big trucks are pulling.
9-10 is what I get towing with the ecoboost. As long as that stays the same I don't mind the hit when unhooked. I'll be looking for smiles per gallon not miles per gallon at that point.
