I like to use average speed to figure out City/Highway split. I thought I was 60/40 highway/city. But after crunching my average speed, I'm more 30/70 on average highway/city. This formula is derived off of EPA average speeds when they conduct their fuel economy rating program.
here's the formula:
If less than 21 mph average, 100% city
If higher than 48 mph average, 100% highway
Anywhere between, you can figure your highway % by:
(average_speed-21)/(27)
Since you have a RAM, your trip odometer should have average speed for the miles and run time as well.
