samhain7,
Hopefully this will help. I have the 6.4 with the 3.73. I took a road trip from N. California to Las Vegas. When we left I only had about 200 miles on the truck. Total miles for the trip was 1800. I got 16.2 mpg for the entire trip. This included interstate, mountain passes, city driving all around Las Vegas (stop and do traffic, traffic lights, short trips to and from the strip and various other activities). We also took a day trip up to and through Death Valley from Las Vegas. With the truck shell, family, and stuff in the back I was probably loaded with about 1000 lbs. The A/C was also running the entire time.
