Somewhat related...Took DW's 05 Dodge Magnum up to Chicago this week. Straight shot up I-65 and back. 2005 was the first year for the 5.7 hemi with MDS. Cruising 75-80 on the highway (except for the 55 zones) yielded a pretty consistent 22.5 mpg, so not surprised at IB's results with that heavy 2500 truck.
112K on the motor now and NO problems. IB's truck is now at the top of my list when it's time to retire the burb.
