6.7 Powerstroke "3" year report

Well it's been 3 years since I bought my 2014 F350 4x4 SRW 8" box with the 6.7 Powerstroke Diesel.
I have owned Ford diesel's since 1994 including 3 Super Duty's with the Hall of Fame 7.3 in them and all I can say is this truck is the very best one I have owned so far ! 3 years and 88,000 miles and not a single problem. I run Shell T-6 oil in it and Motorcraft fuel and air filters and change them frequently. This truck has all the power I would ever need !! Fuel MPG empty depending on how heavy my foot is, is anywhere from 16 to 19. Pulling my TT and again depending on wind, roads and how heavy my foot is that day it is about 12 . I travel with a TT a lot, I pull a 2 axle trailer hauling a Kubota tractor or a JD back hoe regularly....NO problem ! I live in the mountains at over 7,000 feet hunt, camp, fish and go anywhere with it. The 6.7 is a monster and I would buy this set up again in a heart beat !!

PS: I don't care what kind of truck anyone owns this is just an up date report on a 2014 6.7 Powerstroke Super Duty.

I'm glad it's been a good truck for OP. The performance of these newer diesels is truly an addictive thing. The only problem is I think it's ruined me from ever being satisfied by a truck that doesn't make a stupid amount of torque available so effortlessly.

    Well said.

I've had all the Fords since 2001: 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, and on my second 6.7. Nothing like setting the cruise pulling 18,000 lbs. at 70 mph and the engine just quietly purrs along in sixth gear. It will spoil you.

Come back in 25 years like my 92 cummins and talk

    That didn't take long ! :B

They really don't make them like that anymore, across the board.

I still have the 94 F250 diesel truck that I use to beat around my place fixing fence, hauling anything I need moved on the place without worrying what happens to it. She is an old warrior and still starts right up but I can say one thing it can't begin to hold a candle to my 6.7 F 350.....the 6.7 is 3 times the truck that 94 is. Maybe 4 or 5 times the truck. Glad your 92 is still suckin air.

  • My 2015 has been in once for DEF injector (warranty) I get about 13(I blame this on 5000 feet altitude) when not towing and 12 when towing. Oh I almost forgot had to have a tire replaced at about 1500 miles tread started to separate(Michelin Free)
  • I have a 2012 F350 6.7 and tow a 35' 5er. I agree with you. Only item I have been in for was a bad exhaust gas temp sensor replaced under warranty while I waited. No problems at all with engine/drive train.
