In Havasu City. Picked up my pickup from the Ford dealer this afternoon. New hose installed. Will drive 330 miles home tomorrow. It's windy (in the 40mph range) out here.
An update to an old thread. Since the CAC was replaced 3/2017 I've thrown a lot of P132B codes.
First time I was idling hooking up the trailer getting ready for a trip. Immediately took it to the dealer, they did some software update.
2nd time - I was idling hooking up the trailer getting ready to come home from a trip. Engine light stayed on all the way home, but truck acted fine. Dealer said it was a bogus code and cleared it.
This happened on and off until 1 month ago, 7/2018. Again, getting ready for a trip, idling as I was getting ready to setup the trailer for a trip in a few weeks. I drove it without shutting it off, no boost. Took it to the dealer, there were 2 codes (I've been dealing with DEF heater sensor for a year as well). Dealer replaced the DEF heater sensor (under a brand new factory extended warranty that came out 7/2018), and cleared the P132B code.
A few days later getting ready to hook up the trailer to move into the street, P132B code again. Drove it without shutting it off, no boost. Shut it off for a few minutes, then drove it, had boost. Took it to the dealer, they replaced the MAP sensor. Left for the camping trip way back in the Sequoias, on one lane dirt forest service roads. Ran fine getting there. As we were heading home, going very slow down the steep winding road, basically idling in 1st gear down steep hill, engine light came on, go to climb the next hill, no boost. Got down to the highway, no boost, found a place to pull over, shut it off for a few minutes, restarted and drove it the 250 miles home with boost.
I was able to reproduce the problem by letting the truck idle for 5 - 10 minutes. No boost after that. Shut off, restart and I had boost.
Took it to the dealer again. They had it 2 weeks this time. They replaced the turbo charger under another Factory Extended Warranty. Now have boost, which seems better than before as I immediately have it and don't have to wait until higher RPMs, which is correct for a VGT turbo.
I have already tested letting it idle for 5 - 10 minutes, and now have boost after idling.
I'm convinced something broke or got damaged in the turbo when the CAC blew off. I've read others who think the same thing happened. I was under hard acceleration when the CAC blew off, and the turbo RPMS may have exceeded it's capacity damaging the VGT.
BTW: This is 2012 F250, purchased 01/2013. It has 46,000 miles on it. I put about 10,000 miles/year on it until the last 12 months when I only put 2500 miles on it because it has become unreliable and threw a code on every trip the last 1.5 years. I'm hoping its all fixed now and can use it more now.
