I did check TDR out already, but most of those guys are getting complete intake systems instead of just the tube. I don't believe the filter housing itself is restrictive, and it is mainly this tube due to the silencer. I think I am just going to get the $140 Airaid tube. That is cheap enough and it does what I am looking to do. Thanks for your input thoughs.
BTW, for those that do not know what silencer I am talking about and have a 6.7L Cummins then the video link below that I found on YouTube will show the removal. The late 5.9L trucks had them as well, but it was a part of the intake tube and had to be cut out unlike the removable one on the 6.7L.
