Hard to believe, you read the court documents relating to the 6.0, combined with the zero resale/trade value nationwide, which is the buying public's way of expressing its dissatisfaction with the truck, and yet people continue call foul when the 6.0 is called what it truly is; a truly ****ty engine. If you think the 6.0 has somehow gotten a bad rap, you really need to read the lawsuit.
I was on the CARMAX website recently looking at 6.0 F-series trucks. They're not discounting ANY of them. They were all lower mileage units running around $24-26K.
Go to KSL.com and take a look. Take a 6.0 to any dealer and try to trade it in, including a Ford dealer. See what they say. Most dealers will tell you to sell it yourself. Doesn't matter if its "bulletproofed" or not. It takes a really low price to move them off a lot.
Not true around here. I wish I could find all these low priced trucks you folks keep talking about. Fact is around here they do NOT exist.
Went to an auction last year - forest service trucks -a mix of mainly Fords and GM.
The 6.0s went for much less than the GMs or even the older Fords - it was startling how no one wanted them.
It was mainly dealers bidding and I guess they knew what the things were worth.
