Day 1: 550 miles of, well of nothing... 470 miles just to get out of Florida! LOL We stopped for the night a little bit out of Atlanta. Thinking about a 5:00am departure to beat the traffic and then an early stop tomorrow to enjoy Nashville, TN. I got 6.8 miles to the gallon staying in the 60-70mph range. No one cut me off, everyone let me in, lots of people waved, no problem pulling in or out of gas stations... Kinda boring? Have a GPS, and one app tells me what's coming up at each exit re: food, gas, campgrounds, points of interest and shopping. Another app gives me all the campgrounds along my route. No guesswork. Satellite radio uninterrupted by commercials. Heck, I even got a level pull thru so no unhitching or jacks needed. A far cry from the good old days when we had nothing but a map and a flashlight! Hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting.
