If the price is right jump on it. I had a 2000 7.3 pulling @10,000 lbs TT across major mountain ranges east and west. I did spend about $3500.00 for a Banks Git Kit. It SERIOUSLY woke that engine up. Expect to rebuild the tranny around 110,000 to 125,000 miiles. I recommend springing a few extra dollars for the 7 clutch torque converter. I traded mine because I wanted a new Ram before the def kicked in. Overall, the truck was still in fine shape.
