- corussExplorerI have an 01 f250 with a 4in lift and 35in tires towing about a 10k Nash Camper. All the towing is in the western states (ie Mtn passes)
I get about 9-10 pretty consistently in the mtn passes. It will creep up to 11, maybe 12, when it flattens out.
I tow around 70mph and 1900-1950 rpms.
I was really hoping to get a solid 12 for most all my towing with this set up, but it has not happened.....Im sure the 4in lift and 35s are not helping.
Without the camper about 17 on the hwy and 13-14 around town. - camperfamilyExplorer2002 F350 CCLB 4x4 pulling a 10k fifth we got 10.5-11.5. Lower with a headwind. Trailer was 12' 4" tall. Adding 3 bikes on a rack mounted on the pix box effected it, as did adding a canoe on the roof of the truck.
Solo on a long highway run could get close to 19. - marcsbigfoot20bExplorerSpecs in my sig.....
Towing 7000 lb parachute I get 13 if I baby it. Driving aggressive 10.5
Love that 7.3 - RedJeepExplorerOh I can answer that.
2000 7.3l excursion. Average about 9.5 mpg towing 10k pound travel trailer averaging about 60 mph. As low as 7.5. As high as 12 (but only once)
2001 7.3l f350 dually. Average about 8 mpg towing 15k pound fifth wheel toy hauler about 60 mph. As low as 6.5 in the mountains and as high as 9 (but 9 is probably a lie.)
