In July i went up the Green River Gorge on I-26 in North Carolina it's a 7% Grade. Coming from South Carolina. I was doing 3000 RPM at 40 MPH in the right side truck lane. My truck is a 2002 Dodge Ram...
3k rpm is nothing for a gas V8. We used to run higher rpm than that with 4.10 rear and 3spd auto or manual towing or not on flat ground or uphill. Never hurt a thing and never will. Dieselholics think 2k rpm is casual. 2k rpm is a blur. That's 33 revolutions per second. Yet they think it's just chugging along casually like 60 rpm. They've been bamboozled with emotion. :B
