GM has two different ways of powering up the 12 volts.
Stud 1 or two needs to have wire terminated. Look in your owner's manual to see which on your vehicle.
Others require the installation of a thrity amp Maxi-fuse in the under the hood fuse panel located on the driver's side wheel well.
