And true enough in the world of marketing, some products are better than others. Back when I was a kid, we bought a lot of stuff from the Sears, and Monkey Wards catalogs. Often they would have items listed as good, better, best. They understood that some folks wanted to pay less, and they were willing to get less. Others did not want to buy something that was "built down to the lowest price point", so they would opt for better or best.
As the car sales dudes like to say, there's a seat for every butt...
