One concern that I have is the hardness of the tow. The harder the tire, the more road roughness transfered to the trailer. ST tires running at 65psi seem to be easier on my trailer than higher pressure LT. Are there any LT 225/75R15 tires running at 65psi that support 2540 pounds?
One question I would ask is what is the rated capacity of the axle you would be fitting these tires to ?
As an example, my little funfinder camper has tandem 2800 pound axles. The tires I am running ( Kumho 857 ) have a load capacity of 1874 at 65psi, so I have 3748 pounds of tire capacity on each 2800 pound axle. I'm good with that idea.
EDIT: especially good with that idea in my case because the trailer on the CAT scales has just under 3500 pounds on the axles. So essentially, I have double the weight carry capacity with these tires in this case. I like them odds.
